  Situated on the ship Sunborn Yacht (the boat does not navigate anymore) located into the Ocean Village area this restaurant is something classy with modern style. Food is good, ambiance nice and service efficient.

  The waiters and bar staff were also fantastic. They were very attentive and always had smiles on their faces. I don't think I saw an empty glass the whole evening. Again, I need to comment on how great John was. I heard many great things about him from my guests the next day. A really lovely guy and very hardworking.

  Oliver, John and Kelly, were fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. We live in England so Oliver would regularly call and email me to run through everything and nothing was too much trouble for him.

  When we arrived in Gibraltar we met with Kelly because Oliver was at the La Sala in Marbella that night. I was expecting to have to explain everything to Kelly, but she had a large file of notes from my correspondence with Oliver and she had planned every last detail of the wedding from my requests. She took all the stress away and I felt confident that I could leave everything with her and just enjoy being on holiday with my family and friends.

  At La Sala they offer a wide range of wedding packages, catering for all budgets. We chose to have a small reception with 35 guests in the Sapphire bar. It is a stunning room with a private terrace. They also hold weddings in the main restaurant for larger parties. We saw them setting up for a wedding there the next day and it was equally as beautiful as ours.

  We ordered the set wedding menu which is great value for money and delicious. All of my guests commented on how much they enjoyed the food. They do offer alternative menus too but we were very happy with the set menu. We also added a late night snack of bacon / sausage sandwiches to our order which was very popular with our guests.

  View on the air runway, I always found it funny to see airplanes landing and taking off between see and land in the Gibraltar.

  On the day of the wedding the room was decorated beautifully by the staff. John worked especially hard setting everything up and ensuring that everything was how we wanted it. We could not have wished for a more perfect place for the reception. Photographs I had seen of the Sapphire bar did not do it justice. You need to see it to appreciate how stunning this room really is.
